Beautiful We just received this book earlier this week and my almost 3yo has already requested to read it several times a day, 2-3 times per sitting. My daughter loves this book and I can already tell this will be one of her new favorites. There are seven classic fairytales: Little Red Ridinghood, Thumbelina, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel & Gretel, Snow White, Repunzel, & Cinderella. Each story is perfectly abbreviated for a toddler and told over two pages, containing 5-6 flaps you lift open revealing a character, object, or some sort of critter telling part of the story. Cinderella, the last story is told over the last six pages. The final three pages open up to show all the characters from the previous six stories at the ball. The artwork is beautiful and incredibly detailed and my daughter and I spend a lot of time on each page looking for the lady bugs, bumblebees, birds, and bunnies. The quality of the book is amazing. I’m always hesitant about…
Lovely illustrations but needs a little more content The illustrations in this book are very pretty. The quality is also very nice. I’d give it 5 stars but I wish it told a little bit more of the included fairytales. The flaps have details from each story but not really enough to piece the whole story together if your child hasn’t already heard it. Both my kids (almost 3 yr old girl & 6 yr old boy) enjoy the book.
Do not purchase this if your child doesnât already know … Do not purchase this if your child doesnât already know all the fairytales in this book. There is no stories or âtalesâ in this- just a simple sentence about the story with lift the flaps that go with a story (that my son didnât know because the story isnât in the book!)
