One!
One little night star,
Twinkling in deep blue.
I run inside to take my bath,
Then there are…
Two!
Ten Little Night Stars is a sweet bedtime counting book perfect for the youngest readers. One by one the stars come out in the night sky as cute and cuddly animals go through their bedtime routines. This board book will encourage children to turn the page with interactive and engaging rhyme, and will take them through bath time, story time, and sleep. Written by Deb Gruelle, great-great-grand-niece of Johnny Gruelle, the creator of Raggedy Ann and Andy, Ten Little Night Stars is the perfect bedtime story for parents and children alike.
Includes Saying Prayers It’s cute, but just be aware that one of the bedtime steps is religious (saying prayers). We don’t do this in our household, so I don’t want to read this book with my kids.
Beautifully made and illustrated book This is one of the most beautiful books in my 1 year old grandson’s library. The covers are heavy and slightly padded, giving an impression of superior quality. The interior pages are sturdy and adorably illustrated. Each of the cuddly baby animals and their parent lead your child through a simply worded bedtime routine, as well as counting the stars appearing in the sky through the bedroom window. There are a lot of details on each page, and my grandson loves identifying all the items in the rooms as well as counting the stars. (He can’t say them yet, but he rapidly learns what they are and will point to each thing when we ask) This is a book well worth adding to any young child’s collection. For grandmothers out there, I would also recommend this book. The exceptional quality is similar, and it’s a darling tale of a grandma’s love and hopes for her grandchild….
Cute book but has religious parts This book is cute with nice illustrations and made of quality materials. I ordered it because my toddler loves the song âtwinkle twinkle little star,â and I figured he would enjoy all of the little stars in it. My only complaint would be that it has a slight religious tone in that it refers to the sky as âheavenâ and then talks about saying prayers as part of the bedtime routine. Itâs still a cute book, but it would have been nice to know that before buying it since thatâs not part of our own bedtime routine.
